Activities

Because daily activities enhance an elderly adult’s quality of life and encourage social interaction, residents in our homes are encouraged to take part in a variety of joint planned activities such as music, pet therapy, exercise, cable television, community newspapers, magazines, puzzles, board and card games, or just sitting outdoors and enjoying each other’s company.

Our caregivers engage our residents in activities such as:

  • exercise – sit and be fit Leader demos the movements
  • beanbag or ball toss
  • playing board games
  • cards / cribbage
  • coloring books – these have become very popular lately
  • music therapy
  • pet therapy – families can bring in pets for visits. Be sure to get prior approval.
  • puzzles
  • caregivers sometimes read aloud

Dear Melinda,

Just had to drop a line thanking you for everything. It was a great comfort to us all to find a caring place like yours. No words could ever express our appreciation. Keep up the good work. You will be forever in our prayers.
